Talking to Santa!

Santa came to our grocery store so we got a chance to talk to him! Sophia asked for doll stuff and Ethan wants a basketball (of course these things change daily)! Santa even gave them 2 little candy canes and an orange!

Festival of trees

Here is Sophia's tree that she decorated so well with paper chains, her own ornaments, and ribbon--we are always busy creating!

We went to the Festival of Trees with our friends the Snows and had a great time doing some crafts, Ethan loved the giant bubble game, and looking at all the beautiful trees!

Decorating our tree! We love pre-lit trees!

Thanksgiving

We got to spend a fun few days in Colorado for Thanksgiving! Laura and Brandon came along with us and we had a great time eating, playing games, getting packages ready for our missionaries, shopping, and Mom even got us pedicures (my first!)! The kids just ran around the house busy all day and loved playing with the 2 missionaries there--remind them of their own uncles who are gone! Unfortunately, I only pulled out my camera once so we have very little to show! Here's the kids making the rolls!

It's Another....

We just got back from the "doctor's house" according to Ethan, and everything looks good! The baby is healthy and already very cute! So....we are having another....GIRL! We haven't told Sophia yet but I'm sure she will be excited! She had her little hand all stretched out and up by her face--just like Sophia did in her U/S! So we are excited! We asked Ethan what we should name her while we were waiting for the doctor and he immediately said "Peanut Baby!" So I guess I don't have to worry about naming her now right?!

Halloween!

We had a very fun Halloween over here! We had gone to the pumpkin patch earlier in the week and done all the fun Fall/Halloween activities around town so we were all ready to put on our costumes! We went to the parade at Sophia's school in the morning and then I got to go read stories and be a goofy witch at her class party! She was a cute pink flamingo (thank you Jill) during the day, but at night she decided to wear all my witch stuff and her cute hat she had decorated to go trick-or-treating! Ethan loved seeing all the costumes at the parade and was the cutest little fireman! It was especially cool that he had his hat and big coat on when we got some rain while we were out trick-or-treating! Laura came to be with us and go trick-or-treating also, so we had a lot of fun! Of course the best part was the candy!!

Crazy-Busy-Snowy-Fun Weekend!

Mom, Dad, and Grandma were back in town this weekend--along with a lot of other family--for my cousins wedding! We had a great time being with everyone! Sophia and McKinley were the cutest flower girls while Ethan, Tyson, and Beau ran around CRAZY! It was great to see some of our family from California--including Grandma Ruth!! I didn't take a lot of pictures and I am regretting that now!

Then it snowed so the kids got to play outside with Grandma after we dug out their snow clothes! The rest of us were inside--warm--playing a game! It was a fun weekend!

Missing our Neighbors...

NO, our neighbors are not missing, we are missing them! The Hendersons all the sudden decided to up and move away--good move for their family, bad move for ours! We have enjoyed their friendship and playing together a lot this summer! We will miss them but wish them the best!

Mascot Bowl

We had a lot of fun going to the "Mascot Bowl" the other night. There were all kinds of mascots from the NFL, NBA, college teams, local teams, and even Barney was there! They played football against the 8th grade team. Cosmo was there but we didn't get to give him "five" (Ethan keeps reminding me of this). The owl did come over so Ethan did give him a hug. We had a good time watching the game, playing around, eating cotton candy, and best of all--watching the fireworks!!

Snack

Here is proof that my kids will choose good snacks--and that I actually grew something in my garden! Actually we ended up getting a lot of tomatoes but I had to pick most of them early because of the upcoming snow!!!

Marathon mama (and papa)

The funny thing was that at the pre-marathon dinner the night before when people would stop and talk to Mom, Dad, and I, they would assume I was the one running rather than my "old" parents! Ha ha. Sorry Mom and Dad. Little did those people know they were talking to VETERANS at this whole marathon thing in Mom and Dad!

Sorry I didn't get a picture of Dad too, we saw him as I was driving up the road but I couldn't take a picture and drive! Then he finished before we found a parking spot and while it was still raining--I guess we were fair weather fans--sorry Dad, but I was thinking of Grandma Fisher!

The proud Mom/Grandma/Great-Grandma cheering them on!

They did great! Mom qualified for Boston and Dad would just like a few lousy seconds of a 4 hour race back!

We had a fun time in Hyrum/Logan staying with Aunt Jayne and Anita and seeing the cousins. And we even went back and found mom's glasses at mile marker 9!

Tailgating 101

Rule #1 Put the right people in charge of the right things:

Dennis and Bruce: Main course--smoked pork on homemade buns
The rest of us: side dishes and dessert

Melissa: Cool new BYU pop-up shade

Lance: TV with generator power, DISH set up--oh wait, he brought 2 flat screens, his dish in the back of his truck, and got the DISH guy to show up and program the receiver for him.

Little kids: cutest BYU cheerleaders and future BYU players!

Rule #2 WIN

BYU 57 UCLA 0

p.s. I pulled out my camera before a lot of the tailgaters got there so I don't have everyone!

We love the Farm!

These guys ask on a daily basis if we can go to the farm and ride the ponies--they love this place! And best of all is that it's 10 min. away! Imagine that, a farm right in our own neighborhood, practically. Since we talked dad into buying a membership--OK, he didn't actually find out about it until after I had bought it, it's paid for itself by now and it's free every time!

This was the first time I have ever seen them have the old fashioned carriage out for rides and it was fun!

Getting braver at feeding the animals! We like feeding the little goats the best.

We did just recently find out that they milk the cows every night at 6 pm so there might be some very interesting pictures soon! The kids want to see this!

I got to ride the bus!!

Mom let me ride the bus!! I was so excited and mom was so worried I would get off at the wrong stop coming home that she had half the neighborhood kids watching out for me and my cousins! But we did great and we love riding the bus now! I had been waiting for this day for a long time!

Bear Lake

We had a great time up at Bear Lake this last weekend with friends and family! Lots of adventures, wind, swimming, wake surfing, beach time, raspberry shakes, Olympics, and Fun!!

Sophia got brave enough to be pulled on the surf board with her Daddy! My
pictures aren't that great because I thought my camera was broken the whole trip but it was just on a weird setting that took me forever to figure out!
Eman and Anna busy in the sand!

Travis without his glasses?! Oh, they blew off in the wind! He has to wait 2 weeks until his new ones come and he is stressed about how he is going to see the BYU football home opener this weekend! Looks like I will be the play-by-play girl for a while!

Dreaming of going to the spa someday with Aunt Bev!

Going on a journey...

We went to see Uncle David and his new wife at the Clingo's. Sophia found something of her own. Somewhere between 35-40 very fun snails. Mom couldn't stop laughing. She kept them well corralled. Cousin Tyson said they were going on a journey. I'm pretty sure Uncle Lynn sent them on a different kind of journey after Sophia left.
