The trip started a little slow with a delayed flight that caused us to miss our connection and then have a 7 hour layover--yikes, it was long and boring!
But we finally got on our way...
...and hit the beach the next day!!
Then on to Everglade city one day for an airboat ride and some alligator and other creature spotting!
a little too close for comfort for mom!
Travis has been getting the kids all excited by watching every episode of "Swamp People." Our guide (who I'm quite sure came straight out of the swamp--overalls and all, and was mostly deaf most likely due to long airboat rides (those things are LOUD!) did find us a gator!! Along with racoons, pelicans he had land on our boat, and a manatee. Here's the main attraction right by us!
Even some baby gators for us all to hold!
Some boogie boarding off the Naples Pier
Beach kids! These kids spent hours in the ocean--it was warm and perfect! We did our best to keep the sun block on!!
Everyone wants to try!A day at the local water park:
Drawing pictures on the place mat at the restaurant:
I decided that we ate some of the best food we've ever had (FISH!! and other yummy stuff) and the worst (too much McD's, etc. for me!)
This was usually the scene at the end of the day! We had a great time being with our cousins and we are ready for the summer!!!

Boy, am I jealous---tooooooo much fun without the Grandma.. But I am glad you had a wonderful time. Looks like the weather cooperated great. And the swamp ride and beach pictures are wonderful. We had some fun at Boston, the race was the best as far as everyone wishing me HB. I got so many hugs, kisses, singing, etc. The Wesley girls took it all out of me. the second half was much slower. Oh well, Love, Mother and Grandma, Grandpa
